Budgeting for two
A budget app for couples, with an AI that does the boring part
Junto is a budget app for two people. You get one shared number you both trust: what's safe to spend right now. You each add your expenses from your own phone, and they land in the same place. Junto AI reads your receipts, answers “how much is left for groceries?” and tells you where the money actually went at the end of the month. Junto itself is free for your household. You only pay for the AI: $48 a year for both of you, or $5 a month.

Two people, one budget
What couples ask us first
Do we need a joint account?
No. Junto never touches your accounts. Whoever paid, the expense goes into the same shared budget, so the number you both look at is the real one. Keep your money as separate as you like.
How do we agree on what to spend?
Every budget in Junto is either a need or a want, in plain language, and that's the whole system. At the end of the month you see the split: how much went to essentials, how much to the rest. It's easier to agree on a number you can both see.
Does it connect to our bank?
Not yet. Today you import your transactions as a CSV from your bank, and Junto AI can read a receipt from a photo. Automatic bank sync is on the way. We'd rather write that here than let you find out later.
What does the AI actually do for us?
The typing. One of you snaps the receipt on the way out of the store and it becomes the right expense in the right budget. Either of you can ask “can we afford dinner out?” and get an answer with your real numbers, without opening a spreadsheet.
What can the AI see?
Only your household's budget data. If you'd rather use your own AI, you can connect Claude or ChatGPT to Junto for free through our open MCP and disconnect it whenever you want. We never sell your data.
